Long time no post!!!

Hello fashionheads, it's been quite some time since I posted please forgive me!! I started a new job and strayed away from the thing I love which is writing about fashion and music. I plan to come back full force with new post and a wider range of topics for 2012!!! Please continue to follow and supoort and let me know any suggestions you may have!!!

Rainy Days!!!!

Fashion heads today is a day to relax and enjoy the smell of the rain. It's calming and soothing so take it all in. But even the busiest of the busiest don't let a little weather stop them, so if you have to go out today dress accordingly. Today is a great day to throw on your favorite rain boots whether they are printed with stripes or solid in dark colors, just be prepared for the puddles. Skinny legs and a cardigan would do the trick. Keep a pair of ballet flats if your going somewhere rain boots aren't appropriate. No matter what you do today just make you look the way you want to look and feel as good as possible!!!! And before I leave here's a  rainy view from my home!

Snakes on the pavement!!!!

  It is no surprise that the runways for fall fashion have been graced with animal print, snakeskin prints python being the star. Animal print makes a statement of boldness and fierceness, its no wonder designers behind world renowned Chloe, Gucci and Prada have done the snakeskin proud in their fall collections. In these lines everything from the accessories,bags and shoes are getting a reptilian upgrade. Chloe makes use of shades of browns and yellows, while Gucci goes bold with greens including hunter and purple. And Prada takes basics like black and white to jazz up knee length boots for there take on this look. Every fashion head can let out their inner chic and sexy reptile side. Strutting down the street in a print like python will turn heads. Visit Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Ave to get a piece of print. ( pictures are shown in order of designer name)

The Reinvention!!!!!

    Producer/Rapper Swizz Beats now Alicia Keys' husband continues to make him self known as a fashion guru. He started with the studded luxury high top sneakers by collaborating with Mr Red Bottom Christian Louboutin. The sneakers became an instant success with hip hop heads all over including rappers Fabolous and Rick Ross. After the success of that collaboration Swizz Beats took it a step further and bigger by helping classic sneaker brand Reebok introduce a new line of hip, fresh and funky sneakers this summer. Swizz lends his love of footwear and his personal style to the new line Reethym of Lite. The classic styles of Reebok now have  high tech design and features added to them for a look that represents the future. In recognizing the new line rappers' Rick Ross and Meek Mills of the MMG label even celebrated the release of the line with a song properly titled "Reebok's Back". Swizz being a musical powerhouse has delivered his newest song "International Party" as the theme for the Reethym of Lite campaign along with a video directed by the well known Chris Robinson whom is responsible for numerous music videos and the 2006 hit movie Atl that featured rapper T I. Swizz Beats has a new album and a new line of sneakers, his talent is amazing along with his style and I look forward to bigger and better things from him in the future..maybe a clothing line??? Summer Scents!!!!!

Summer officially arrived a few days ago and what better time to visit places like Sephora and Ulta to grab your favorite clean, floral and spicy scents. During the fall and winter my favorite perfumes and body sprays had earthy warm smells to them, my favorite was Twilight Woods from Bath&Body Works. But now there's no snow on the ground or 40 degree weather its time to change it up. Go with the smells that make you nose happy when you get a whiff of them.  One of my all time favorite spring summer scents is Dolce&Gabanna  Light Blue. This scent it very clean and fresh perfect to wear to lunch in the park or on a boat ride during a summer evening. Newer scents that I love are CK One Summer which is a limited edition and Stella by Stella McCartney. I like very clean scents that compliment my natural body chemistry. Ladies don't be afraid to spray a new scent on your skin to see how the certain undertones in it will change.  Spray on the cleanest part of your skin, I generally spray on my hand or wrist. Spray lightly and wait a few minutes to see if there is a funny after smell. Sometimes when you first put perfume or body spray on it will smell like how it does in the bottle but once it mixes with your body the smell will change a little bit. At Sephora pay them a visit and try any scent for free in there sample container to find which one is best for you. And the let the clean.floral or spicy scent carry you away all summer long.

Metalic Mania !!!!!!

This past weekend one of the biggest music awards shows, BET  Awards to be exact brought out some of the hottest and very stylish entertainers. And a very hot look and choice for the rapper Eve, Lala Anthony, Free and Beyonce were metallic sequin looks. Eve opened the awards pre show wearing a metallic diamond printed blazer and hot pant. The diamond shapes were black and the space between was silver. Lala wore a mini dress that was black and silver. The ladies looked great. Beyonce who also performed went with a blazer as well and like free they went for brighter colors like oranges mixed with silver. Sparkle and shine make everything better and I've found some pieces for the inner entertainer in us all!!! Can't Make This Up!!!!

The world of beauty thrives through make-up whether it be  eyeshadow or lip gloss or any other form of a beautifier; many women will embrace them with spring now here. I have found some great make up products that are must haves. One item I cannot leave home without is my Carmex and some shade of lip gloss. Carmex paired with any shade helps color stay put and shine all at the same time. A must have shade that will work well with Carmex is a bright red like Loreal Infallible. Other shades to try for spring are bright oranges and pinks. Christian Dior and NARS offer some of the best shades. But you can't forget killer eyeshadow like Almay quads that come with four colors for the perfect smokey or sultry eyes. Blues, greens,pinks and purples will make any eyes sparkle. GO VARSITY!!!

I remember back in high school Friday was the big game day for football a sport that showed me something I never focused on. The last year of high school introduced a fashion item that has been reinvented and done up with new variations. The 2001-2002 football season at Woodrow Wilson High School  was when  stumbled upon the item. The mighty Tigers who won the New Jersey high school  football conference that year were awarded with the rings but to me more importantly the athletic staple for students everywhere the Letterman Jacket! The team came to school a few days later wearing them and I never forgot the black leather sleeves and orange patches representing our school colors and I new this was piece of clothing that had meaning to it and could be worn in style. Over time I have seen many designers revamp the jacket and turn into a hot piece of clothing worn by girls and guys alike! Fall 2010 clothing companies like LRG,Rocawear, and even cute female versions at Forever 21.With the release of Last Train To Paris by Sean Diddy Combs and his group Dirty Money they have been seen promoting the album wearing custom made Letterman jackets in various colors. The jackets have the groups initials DM on them. Here are some looks I've seen and love. Step into your varsity style with a classic Letterman jacket.
